MAINTENANCE TIP #1

Take it easy and break your car in…Now that you have your new vehicle, you want to make it last at long as possible. Here are some things to remember once you pull it off the lot:

  • Typically the first thousand miles , keep your speed below 55 mph whenever possible.
  • Take it easy on the heavy loads on the drive train, such as towing trailers, and loading the roof rack or trunk.
  • Don’t allow it to idle for too long — this is good advice for the life of your car, but especially during break in period. This keeps your oil pressure regulated and spread out to the necessary engine parts.
  • Don’t jump on the gas! Use only light to medium acceleration, keeping the engine rpms below 3,000 for the first few hours of driving.

Hope this helps, many more to come! Keep on site on your favorites list or LIKE us on Facebook!
